We Keep Your Data Safe
Our data centre facilities are housed in a secure and unmarked building on a quiet street in downtown Toronto. 7L's associated company owns and operates the building, adding an additional level of security to the physical infrastructure.
The property is monitored by 24 hour CCTV recorded camera surveillance, both inside and outside, as well as certified patrol personal. Keycard swipe access is required to enter the data centre facilities, with escorted access by appointment only. All unit floors are equip with fire suppression units, with visible security exits and alarms on all floors.
Privacy
We work with you to ensure your country and regional laws are accounted for, as well as working in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), legislated by the Government of Canada to keep your data safe.
The Government of Canada places limits and regulations on businesses and agencies, as it relates to the transfer of online data, users' personal information, and collection of information for the private and public sector. Under the Privacy Act, 7L will not collect, access, or monitor the personal information of our clients, or information owned by our clients in anyway, shape or form. We do not reveal client lists, sell information to 3rd parties, and do not share (or sell) data from any server physically located in our data centre.
Monitoring
Our facility's monitoring system is fully integrated with security for the entire building, including entry controls, surveillance, intruder detection, and detailed documentation.
7Ls' physical premise and data centre is monitored with a 24 hour CCTV camera surveillance, with all footage taped and backed up in our main office. All building access is written and recorded in control-logs, and closely documents who comes in and out of the data centre, and moderates the flow of traffic on a daily basis.
7Ls' operations centre is located in the middle of our data centre, which monitors everything from clients servers to building access, making it easy for staff to monitor day to day activity. Additionally, key staff members are provided with smartphones, integrated with our network operations centre, which send real time notifications if and when alerts happen on our network.
