Last Wednesday, I went to Hack for Her and I had a great time at my first Hackathon ever. The event was designed especially for women and girls in tech in line of International Women’s Day. The organizers Girls in Tech Toronto and Women and Tech teamed up with Google Kitchener, where the event took place.

It turned out to be a fantastic day, meeting a lot of interesting people, trying to find a technical solution to a real-life, entrepreneurial issue in Singapore, and exploring parts of Google’s office, having the chance to chat with some employees.

Here are some of the pictures telling the story of my day at Hack for Her:

Surprisingly, we learned that this hackathon was only the 3rd hack event in the world designed especially for girls/women. In my opinion, Hack for Her was a great success and I hope there will be many more such events for women in tech in the near future.
