Network Monitoring Systems

For the last few weeks I have been reviewing Network Monitoring systems. Cacti, Zabbix, Zenoss, Hyperic, Groundworks, OpManager and some others. I am working on a 100+ slide presentation, and hopefully will have this available by November 1st.
I am staying away from reviewing commerical network monitoring systems because the cost can easily reach 10k+ for a medium sized network. This alone, makes it prohibitive for some users.
