Toronto WHIR Industry Event – A Great Night!
Posted on May 21st, 2010
Yesterday the team here enjoyed a great evening of networking at the 2nd annual Toronto WHIR (Web Host Industry Review) industry event that was held at C Lounge.
SevenL was one of the lead sponsors for the event and we even gave away some snazzy shirts promoting our new and very fun, WTF is Hosting microsite, Carey Toane won a prize pack including bottles of wine from one of Niagras’ finest wineries, Angels Gate, and web developer Hamid Mousavian won a round of golf at the home of the 2010 Canadian Open at St Georges Golf and Country Club in July.
The event was an incredible official kick off to summer, the weather was gorgeous, the venue was excellent and the WHIR’s 10th anniversary cake was delicious. It was great to meet new faces – see old ones as well as to mingle with our suppliers, clients and friends. Though, we were slightly disappointed that none of them ended up in C Lounge’s pool at the end of the night.
Liam Eagle over at the WHIR has wrote a short post on their blog promising videos and pictures of the event so be sure to check that out. Our team was simply too busy enjoying ourselves at the event so our pictures didn’t come out as planned
SevenL would of course like to thank our incredible neighbours, the WHIR, for putting on a great event and to that kind woman that handed out our WTFIsHosting.com t-shirts to everyone.
